What can I say other than do not hesitate to book. The location is perfection. Beautiful walks and a lovely local village pub. Sounds of the countryside and the smell of fresh air with stunning views to boot. Hosts are lovely and accommodating and we have had the best Christmas Experience. We will definitely book again 😊

Great cottages - well equipped for all needs. Very helpful in making sure that children's cots, high chairs etc were available. Big outdoor space with play area and a play barn with enough activities to keep all ages entertained. Very close for a walk to Thors cave. A fantastic weekend for out family reunion across the three cottages.

From start to finish, Emily and Tom are the kind of hosts you wish for when planning a family trip that involves young kids and your parents. Outstanding email communication in the run up to the stay. Their easy to digest driving directions led us swiftly through Wetton and its surrounding villages to their gorgeous land, even while navigating in the dark of the night. And we were gobsmacked when we awoke in the morning. Tasteful landscaping throughout with some great kids outdoor amenities and plenty of space to run around or have an outdoor meal. And from their land's front lawn you can see Thor's cave. It was a relaxed 45 minute round trip walk from the cottages, but the view from their lawn on a crystal clear Peak District morning was just as awe-inspiring as witnessing it up close. Dovedale cottage was everything we needed for our long weekend. Warm with the electric radiators and electric fireplace. New kitchen and country-shic decor was classic and cosy. Power shower delivered well! Beds were super comfy. Linen and towels provided makes packing easy. All kids needs were sorted from cot, high chair to toys! Smart TV and wifi worked seamlessly. Buxton spa and Pavilion Garden visit is a great quick day trip. Chatsworth Activity Farm and Estate is a quick day trip too. Super viewpoints like Baslow Edge and Dovedale stepping stones are easy by car as well. But also, there are plenty of walks that start right there at the cottages. Lastly, the love they have put into the place is very apparent. The Play barn was ideal for the grandma to care for our toddler while my partner and I hiked some trails. Absolutely ideal! We are already planning a larger family retreat to book all three cottages. Thanks again to the hosts who have thought of everything. Not surprising they used to be teachers!

Had an absolutely amazing holiday staying at Hall Farm Cottages. The cottage itself was perfect. Very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for holidaying with our 1 year old daughter. The play barn, which has an incredible amount of toys and activities, was a particularly helpful tool to keep her entertained. There's plenty of walks and places to visit within a few miles of the cottage and the views around the place are absolutely stunning. Tom and Emily are fantastic hosts and played a big part in us having an amazing family break. Definitely won't be our last visit 😊

A fantastic place for families to stay. We were amazed by the fantastic facilities and the playbarn, which kept two toddlers and adults amused all weekend. The village is beautiful and the sunrises and sunsets are amazing. We will be coming back again in the future.

This is one of the few places where pictures do not do justice to how beautiful it is. It is located far enough to be quiet and peaceful but close enough have convenient access to great hiking trails, local villages and fun activities. The cottages are very cosy and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Emily and Tom are wonderful hosts and always great with recommendations. The farm is perfect for every type of group, especially families. It was so lovely going on holiday and not having to bring all the baby/kid items as the cottage was already set up upon arrival with everything from baby gates to high chairs to a cot. The play barn is full of hours of entertainment as well as there is an outside play area. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back.

Lovely cottages in a lovely location. Great play barn for kids. Pub round the corner, loads of great walks, Thor's cave nearby, fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast this is a great place to stay in the Peak District.

Fabulous place to stay. We hired all three cottages for a special birthday celebration, having our children, their partners our grandson, friends and two dogs. The cottages are beautiful with everything you could possibly need. The lovely welcome pack and the doggy box are excellent additions. Having the play barn is super for both adults and children - something for everyone. Lots of scenic walks from your front door too. Lovely friendly pub ( The Royal Oak) with good food is within a short walking distance. Emily and Tom are fantastic hosts. We would recommend Hall Farm for a ‘getaway from it all’ break.

Another great holiday at Hall farm. We enjoyed some great walks from the doorstep. Accommodation very clean and cosy. We never tire of the beautiful ever changing views from the cottage. Some great local pubs offering good food and decent beer (according to my husband) Thanks Emily and Tom, we’ll be back.
